We believe that Jesus is the Head of the church and the Holy Spirit is our Counselor and so we seek to be responsive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in every area of the church’s life and ministry. Inherent in this value are the concepts of relevance and creativity (Ephesians 5:18).
People matter to God and consequently matter to us. At Bible Chapel we strive to reach lost people with the gospel of Jesus Christ while building up believers in Jesus Christ. Inherent in this value are the concepts of missions, personal evangelism, fellowship, worship, discipleship and small groups (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 5:42).
We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people. We will pursue excellence in all we do from how we maintain our facilities to the quality of our programs and the sincerity of our worship (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Prayer is a reflection of our complete and utter dependence upon God and an expression of our desire to do His will. Prayer also cultivates intimacy with God. Inherent in this value are the concepts of intercession, healing prayer and listening. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, James 5:13-16, Ecclesiastes 5:1).
Word of God
The Bible is God’s revelation to us and is trustworthy, eternally relevant and authoritative (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Inherent in this value is biblically based preaching and teaching.
Spiritually Gifted Ministry
The Holy Spirit gives each of us a unique set of gifts to be used in service of His work. Therefore, we believe the church should function as a unified community of servants stewarding their spiritual gifts. The Bible Chapel is committed to ministry in the power of God’s Spirit through all the gifts He graciously bestows. We seek to identify an individual’s gifting and train them to minister with sensitivity to His guidance and through His anointing rather than in human wisdom and energy. Inherent in this value are the concepts of unity, service, spiritual gifts, and ministry callings (1 Corinthians 12 and 14; Romans 12; Ephesians 4).
We believe growing in Christ likeness is the responsibility of every Christian trusting God to bring about life transformation. Inherent in this value are the concepts of authenticity, love and spiritual formation (Romans 12:1-2; John 13:35).
We believe for a church to be healthy it must be led by men gifted with a leadership gift. Inherent in this value is the concept of intentional leadership development. (Romans 12:8)
