Prayer is a reflection of our complete and utter dependence upon God and an expression of our desire to do His will. Prayer also cultivates intimacy with God. The Bible is God’s revelation to us and is trustworthy, eternally relevant and authoritative (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Inherent in this value is biblically based preaching and teaching.
The Holy Spirit gives each of us a unique set of gifts to be used in service of His work. Therefore, we believe the church should function as a unified community of servants stewarding their spiritual gifts. The Bible Chapel is committed to ministry in the power of God’s Spirit through all the gifts He graciously bestows. We seek to identify an individual’s gifting and train them to minister with sensitivity to His guidance and through His anointing rather than in human wisdom and energy. Inherent in this value are the concepts of unity, service, spiritual gifts, and ministry callings (1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 1 Corinthians 14:1-40, Romans 12:1-21, Ephesians 4:1-31).
We believe growing in Christ likeness is the responsibility of every Christian trusting God to bring about life transformation. Inherent in this value are the concepts of authenticity, love and spiritual formation (Romans 12:1-2; John 13:35).
We believe for a church to be healthy it must be led by men gifted with a leadership gift. Inherent in this value is the concept of intentional leadership development. (Romans 12:8).
